What is Virtual Design, and is it the right choice for you?

Virtual Design is a simplified version of our in-house, full service interior design offerings online. Perfect for the clients who want professional design direction, but don’t mind doing the prep work to prepare, manage, and implement the project themselves. Because everything is done online, and through email, our Virtual Design services are available to anyone who embraces the D-I-Y spirit!

Do you need to design one room at a time, or multiple rooms?  

With our virtual design-by-room process, you can work at your own pace and as your budget allows. Select from the dropdown menus below to select the room you want to tackle.   There are no limits to the number of rooms you may choose at one time.  We just ask that you please fill out a style questionnaire so we may better assist you in the process. Once we receive your request, we will get back to you within 48 hours with a list of additional prep work items we will need to utilize for your design concept, such as photographs and measurements. Not good with measurements? No worries, we will guide you through the process as needed.

What do you get with your Virtual Design?

We create a unique, one-of-a-kind design concept for your room(s) that include design and color concepts, furniture, and finish selections that fit your lifestyle and budget.  We send you an initial design concept based on the information you provide, and pull pieces from our always growing library of retail and trade-only vendors to develop a vibe board and a shoppable product list for your review.  We include one round of revisions based on your feedback. Everything is done online, which means no need to schedule in-person appointments or showroom visits.  The whole process takes less than a month from the time we receive your initial request.

Need more visuals?

We will happily provide a scaled floor plan, CAD drawings, and colored 3D renderings to assist you in the visualization and implementation process. Just see the Design By Room Add-On Services in the KMD Virtual Design Store for additional design options for your room(s). 

First, select the room(s) from the KMD Virtual Design Store you would like to makeover and complete a questionnaire for each room. We will email you within 48 hours of receiving your initial request to start the process.  

Then, we have you take measurements and photographs of your space. If needed, we gather additional information about your vision and design goals.
